The warmer weather is just around the corner, you can feel it can't you! But what do you do when the dress code is 'Race Wear' and you aren't ready to show off those winter white legs? Embrace the pant! Just because you're heading to the races does not mean that you have to opt for a cocktail dress, a beautiful top and a wide leg pant can be just as sophisticated and fun. There is a rule of thumb that I have stuck with for years, you either show a bit of cleavage or a bit of leg, so if you've decided to rock a pair of pants, you can go a bit creative with your top half and still keep it classy, and I think that mix of classy and fun is what the races are all about.
The beauty of wearing a pant is that it is so versatile, you can work it a number of different ways that works to your body shape. If you know you've got lovely tones arms that you want to show off, you can go with something that accentuates them, think a bustier, spaghetti straps or strapless. If you're someone that maybe wants to cover your arms, go for a sexy tailored jacket as a top. This look also gives you the opportunity to go for a really fun headpiece!
