The South-East of South Australia is a hive of fashion activity, with so much great fashion coming out of areas like Milicent, Penola and Mount Gambier. The ladies and gentlemen of the South-East were out in force for the Millicent Cup, with a tough competition for the Fashions on the Field. Long time entrant of Fashion competitions Brianna Scanlon was the deserving winner of the Millicent Cup qualifying event, with an on-trend look combined with South Australian made millinery, and a little DIY touch of her own!

Who is your winning outfit by?
The dress is the Thurley Babylon Lace Dress (Hired from Your Closet), shoes from Betts, and my millinery is from Ashlee Lauren Designs. My earrings are from Lovisa, and my Clutch is from Ruby which I put embellishments on - a Kmart flower crown deconstructed!
What brought you to The Races?
A day out with my Mum, sister and best friend! I attend Millicent Cup every year so it has become a tradition!
Have you entered Fashions on the Field events before in SA?
Yes, I have many times, including Adelaide Cup, Strathalbyn, Narracoorte, Mt Gambier and many more!
Who is your ultimate style icon?
I have a few style icons that I look to when it comes to fashion. Steph Claire Smith and Nadia Bartel would have to be two of my ultimate favourites! Nadia knows how to dress for any occasion. I love looking at what she wears on the red carpet and to the races especially!
Describe your style...
I would have to say my style for an event is elegant and chic. I am always on the look out for the latest trends and am not afraid to try something a little out of my comfort zone even if it becomes a disaster! I love wearing lots of blues and reds and do love the occasional pattern material as well.
What do you love about The Races?
I love the atmosphere and catching up with friends. I look at it as a time to kick back and have some fun and enjoy a few bets! I love the Fashions and being able to see what everyone comes up with interpreting trends and showing their own styles. And of course watching the beautiful horses!
