A move for Mount Gambier - 2018 Cup Date Change

The Mount Gambier Gold Cup is not only one of the biggest country racing events in South Australia, but it also happens to be a hive of fashion activity, with one of the most impressive Fashions on the Field competitions in the state.

FATR regulars will know the Mount Gambier Gold Cup usually comes around every May, but Thoroughbred Racing South Australia has recently announced the move of the event to Friday, 1 December, 2017. The move comes after the announcement of a $3.3 million redevelopment of the track, an exciting upgrade for the region.

This means that instead of a Friday in May, you'll know be donning your Summer best for the new date in December 2017, as the qualifying event for Fashion at The Races moves with the Cup date change.

For the Mount Gambier racing devotees, the Summer Cup has been moved from Saturday 28 January to Sunday 5 November 2017. Mark the dates down in your diary now!

The 2017 Scott's Group of Companies Mount Gambier Gold Cup Fashion at The Races was won by Ilana Adam, who is a State Finalist for the 2016-17 State Final.

More information on the 2017-18 Fashion at The Races Competition will be announced in the coming weeks, so keep checking the blog for the new season details, dates and prize announcements!
