Only a year ago it was the wild weather of late September 2017 that caused the cancellation of the Jamestown Cup, but thankfully this year saw clear skies and a perfect Spring day for the 2018 Jamestown Cup.
With the canola fields as a backdrop, the Fashions on the Field competition saw some fashionable locals competing for the title, but was taken out by Jamestown local Carly Young.
The menswear winner saw one of the competition's first looks to feature a scarf, with Giuliano Sicolo taking out the menswear title in a very Italian-luxe look.
We caught up with Carly post win to find out a bit more, and you can vote for Carly for the next week to win the People's Choice for the 2017/18 competition.
For work I: am a retail assistant
To win Fashions on the Field I wore: a By Johnny dress, Danica Erard Millinery and Scooter Shoes.
I started coming to The Races when: I was 18
And I couldn't do a day trackside without: My friends, a great outfit and a glass of champagne
The last time I entered Fashions on the Field: was 5 years ago at the Jamestown Cup
My wardrobe looks like: I attend way more formal events than I actually do!
The most embarassing thing I've ever worn is: The Jeans with sparkly gems and frayed edges that were big at one stage!
But my favourite thing I own is: my silver bomber jacket from Decjuba.
What people might not know about me: I love hula hooping!
Weekends look like: I either work and spend time with my son at home, or we travel to Adelaide to see my partner.
I love to indulge in: anything chocolate.
My king of day out is: either shopping and seeing a move or a day at the beach with my family.
On my bucket list I want to: learn to sew and create my own headpieces, and visit Paris during Fashion Week
I wish I could have a glass of bubbles with: Paul Vasileff (Paolo Sebastian)
This year I am looking forward to: Graduating my Beauty Services Course at TAFE
I love The Races because: it's a great opportunity to dress up, catch up with friends and have a great day out!
