It's only natural that Australia's biggest race day is also one of Fashion at The Races' biggest events of the year, front and centre at Morphettville Racecourse.
Every year the event attracts plenty of entrants both local and from greater South Australia, who are on course both to enjoy Adelaide's biggest Cup Day celebration, as well as vye for the title of Best Dressed.
This year is no different, with a fantastic prize pool on offer for the most stylish of the day.
To judge the best of the best, the panel will be formed by Westfield Senior Stylist Lauren Dilena (check her incredible style here), Thoroughbred Racing South Australia Industry Marketing Manager Michelle Greene, and the Head Designer of C/MEO Collective, Siham Elmawey.
Siham's designs have been worn by celebrities around the World, as well as many race days around Australia, so she'll be well positioned to help judge Melbourne Cup Day's best dressed.
For the prize pool, the competiton will crown the Best Millinery, Best Dressed Man, Runner-Up and of course, the Best Dressed of the Day.
The Best Millinery winner will receive $200 worth of Evo products for some truly high quality hair care, as well as a $200 voucher to spend at Clip Joint Salons on cuts, colours, blowdrys or styling. There are several locations around Adelaide to choose from, so they're never too far away.
For the gentlemen, don't worry, there's plenty at stake for you too! Make sure to dress to impress and enter, because the Best Dressed Menswear winner will receive a $200 voucher to spend at M.J. Bale, as well as 2 bottles of wine from McLaren Vale's Hither & Yon and a $100 voucher to spend with them, and a brand new watch from Blaax.
The Runner-Up of the competition will receive a $200 voucher to spend on services, products or lessons at Media Makeup Adelaide. Their store in the city is a one-stop shop for all things makeup, so you definitely want to win this one. The Runner-Up will also receive 2 bottles of wine from McLaren Vale's Hither & Yon and a $100 voucher to spend with them.
The Winner for Melbourne Cup Day at Morphettville will walk away with not only a very cool $1,000, but a $200 voucher for The Daily Edited, a Blaax watch, and a beautiful pair of silver earrings from Cinquante the Label.
So the prize pool is well worth getting out of bed for!
To enter, simply register at the Fashion at The Races area between 11.30am and 1.00pm on Melbourne Cup Day at Morphettville Racecourse. The competition starts at 1.10pm after Morphettville's Race 3, with Fashion at The Races Ambassadors and Channel 7 Presenters Amelia Mulcahy and Theo Doropoulos hosting the competition.
