5 minutes with the winner - Port Lincoln Cup

It's a highlight of the Eyre Peninsula in more ways than one, and the Port Lincoln Cup proved to be a consistent favourite of the South Australian racing calendar.

With a growing fashion community in Port Lincoln - the incredible Coco California in particular - shone in the Fashion at The Race, with a large field of entrants vying for the top prize.

Travelling from her hometown of Ceduna for the Cup Day fesitivites, Chloe Carr impressed in her look full of colour, taking out the Win for the day and keeping in theme with the State Finalists so far who have been sporting plenty of colours.

We caught up with Chloe after her win!

Port Lincoln Winner

To win Fashion at The Races I wore: An ASOS dress, Miss Louise Millinery, Boohoo.com heels and Samantha Wills and Isadora accessories.

I started coming to the races: When my Aunty took me to the races in Ceduna, when I was about 17. I had a blast and have been going ever since.

I couldn't do a day trackside without: Good company, a cider and a fascinator.

The last time I entered Fashions on the Field was: At the Ceduna December Races 2017; I received Runner Up..

My wardrobe is: Unorganized with clothes in pretty much every room of my house.

The most embarrassing thing I've ever worn is: Most likely anything I used to wear when I was younger - from flared jeans to skate shoes.

My favourite thing I own is: My Nixon watch my partner bought for me.

What people may not know about me: I have a pet pig!

Weekends look like: Spending time with my 3 year old son and partner, taking the dogs for a walk and riding my horses.

I love to indulge in: Chocolate dipped strawberries.

My kind of day out is: Going to the beach with friends and family.

My bucket list includes: Taking my little boy on a cruise because he desperately wants to since seeing one in Port Lincoln.

I wish I could have a glass of bubbles with: My Pa who unfortunately passed away from cancer when I was younger. But I think he'd prefer a port over bubbles!

This year I am looking forward to: Watching my little boy grow up even more, spending more time with my family creating more memories and hopefully more horse rides.

I love The Races because: It's a great excuse to get dressed up, catch up with friends, socialise and have a few drinks. Being a horse enthusiast I love watching the horsed and their incredible speed and agility they always amazes me. The Races atmosphere is always so great it brings me back every year.

Chloe took home $1,000 cash and has qualified for the State Final for 2017/18. For the full list of events and competition updates, subscribe to our newsletter to be the first in the know!
