Street style looks from Adelaide Cup

‘Mad March’ didn’t hold back Adelaide’s movers and shakers on the recent long weekend, with a bumper crowd making their way to a pristine Morphettville Racecourse to soak up the 2018 UBET Adelaide Cup. Autumn delivered a splash of sunshine, and with trackside options to suit every taste, punters were well looked after as they enjoyed our very own race that stops the nation.

It seemed countless women received the 'jumpsuit' memo, with these consistently on display. From the grandstand to the gardens, females were owning the jumpsuit look, and topping it off with the season’s latest assortment of millinery and structured hats (the headwear was so good that Morphettville could have been confused for Flemington).

A classic Pasduchas dress, teamed with soft tones of pink across a custom made hat by Millinery Jill, an Olga Berg bag and shoes by Steve Madden, would be more than enough to see Justine take home this year’s Fashions on the Field for the ladies.

Clothing sporting the iconic twin ‘G’ continues to be sought after, and there were to be plenty of examples amongst the males gunning for their own Fashions on the Field shot. This was to be no tacky Gucci Gang affair though, rather the high-end pieces contributing to the right balance of flair and class across the entrants. Exemplary beard curating was perhaps the only difference in helping Takhat Singh Gill over the line against a difficult to split collective of male hopefuls. Complementing the beard was an eye-catching dinner jacket by Christian Pellizzari, cuffed pants and tidy lace-ups.
