Goodwood Girl: Lana Wilkinson and Chris Kontos Style Bel Sloane for Goodwood Day

It’s the final act in the odyssey of May’s racing carnival. All eyes are on the Group 1 Darley Goodwood, the state’s second Million Dollar Race. Your outfit should capture the atmosphere of a bouquet toss – thrilling, with a little well-placed tension and ready for revelry. Darley Goodwood Day prizes charm over the demure demands of the days prior; a Goodwood girl is fearless and flirty, with a mystique worthy of hot pursuit.

Stylist to the stars Lana Wilkinson, whose ensembles have adorned bodies from Megan Gale to Nadia Bartel, joined Chris Kontos at Australian Fashion Labels to play with a spectrum of colours to make Bel Sloane bloom. Lana and Chris were drawn to C/MEO COLLECTIVE; the label known for its contemporary interpretation of femininity is headed by designer Siham Elmawey, who strives to evoke emotion with her garments. And this striking red dress does just that.

Expertly matched with a turban-inspired headband by Sylvy Early, Lana and Chris laced this look with a luxurious Dolce & Gabbana handbag and an elegant shoe by Kurt Geiger. Media Makeup painted Bel with a soft bronze eye and natural lip to keep the dress at work. Bel’s statement earrings were welcomed by the bag’s gold details, adding an element of nostalgia to this trackside showstopper.

Watch Lana and Chris create Goodwood goals below.

Darley Goodwood Day is all about: Relaxed and fun vibes, enjoying the races atmosphere.

The look we chose for Bel is: Colour! It's always a winner, red is daring but fun.

Then the accessories we chose are: A designer bag and a Sylvy Earl head piece is a winning recipe - because it takes the dress to another level.

We love this look because: Bel looks like she is going to have a fun day in this outfit.
